Ako immediately went onto the defensive, either because fighting a superhuman sword-wielder unarmed is really hard or because she wanted to get a feel for Kohaku's attack strength. Still, between the backpedaling dodges and the strikes to Kohaku's sword arm to deflect blows (even she can't deflect swords with her skin), the katana cut nothing but air.
